I was surprised to learn that 1 in 3 people dont return their sponsorship. Maybe this point could be stressed more. The PA system wasnt really that easy to hear. On the whole well done to the organisers. Hyde Park Race for Lifetravel: 8 facilities: 6 information: 7 speeches: 5 warmup: 3 start: 7 course: 3 finish: 8Simone Arnold OK, I know it's a good cause, and I know it's only meant to be a "rough" 5K, but....the 1km marker was WAY off. I'm not sure if the entire course was a bit long, but the 1km marker was definitely well over 1km, as i was running with a Garmin and it measured the 1st KM as well over 1km. I switched off my watch at that point and didn't bother racing anymore (finished in top 10 regardless). There are some of us who like to raise money AND raise it by running a good, hard race with accurate distance and markers. Other than that, well considered safety, good support, etc. Oh, but if the celebrities are placed in front of the runners, and they aren't running, it's not very safe. For a first event though, it was excellent overall. Great work! :-) Hyde Park Race for Lifetravel: 10 facilities: 10 information: 10 speeches: 7 warmup: 10 start: 7 course: 10 finish: 10Michelle Barreiro What a fantastic event.
